Pedophilia is a paraphilia. In recent variations of official diagnostic coding systems such as the DSM-5 and ICD-eleven, "pedophilia" is distinguished from "pedophilic problem". Pedophilic condition is described for a pattern of pedophilic arousal accompanied by possibly subjective distress or interpersonal issues, or having acted on that arousal.
